Chef D is the Founder of Crystal Clear Coaches, a coaching and training practice focused on clarity, accountability, and sustainable behavior change. With more than 25 years of experience across school nutrition, food systems, and performance coaching, he helps individuals and organizations turn insight into action — and goals into consistent, real-world results.
Chef D is a CTA-Certified Life Coach and Reiss Motivation Profile (RMP) Master Trainer with a career rooted in leadership, systems-building, and people development.
He spent 24 years serving Bridgeton Public Schools as Director of Food Services, where he led all federal nutrition programs and built a nationally recognized operation centered on scratch cooking, Farm to School innovation, strong operational systems, and staff development.
His leadership extended beyond the district level when he served as Executive Director of The Common Market Mid-Atlantic, a nonprofit regional food distributor connecting schools and communities with local farmers. In this role, he oversaw multi-state operations, partnerships, and fundraising efforts — deepening his expertise in values-based procurement and regional food systems.

My coaching approach is grounded in clarity, accountability, and sustainable behavior change.
As a CTA-Certified Life Coach and Reiss Motivation Profile (RMP) Master Trainer, I help individuals and teams understand what truly drives their decisions, habits, and performance. From there, we build practical systems that translate insight into consistent action.
Coaching isn’t about motivation in the moment. It’s about creating structure, discipline, and support that allow people to move forward with confidence — whether in a kitchen, a classroom, a training field, or a boardroom.

My relationship with food began early. By the age of five, I was already cooking.
I grew up watching my mother cook for family and friends, and what stood out most wasn’t just the food — it was what the food created. People gathered. Conversations flowed. Laughter followed. Food built connection.
Those early experiences shaped a belief that has guided my life and career: when food is prepared with care, it brings people together and can change lives.
That belief guided my career for more than two decades in public education.
At Bridgeton Public Schools, I had the privilege of leading a small but mighty food service operation that grew into a nationally recognized program. Our work went far beyond compliance — we focused on culture, community, and creating meals students actually wanted to eat.
I led scratch-cooking initiatives, Farm to School programs, hydroponic and raised-bed greenhouse projects, and staff mentorship efforts that empowered teams to operate with pride, precision, and purpose. Along the way, I became a trusted voice in school nutrition at the local, state, and national levels — presenting at conferences, serving on boards, and delivering hands-on culinary trainings across the country.

Crystal Clear Coaches is not just a business — it is deeply personal.
The name honors my older sister, Crystal, who passed away at the age of 43 from a massive stroke. She was a source of strength and love in my life, and her legacy lives on through the work I do every day.
Crystal Clear Coaches represents clarity of purpose, intentional leadership, and doing the work the right way — even when it is difficult.

I also honor my younger brother, Lloyd “Capri,” whose speed, discipline, and athletic spirit inspire the foundation of our athletic performance work.
Through The Speed Farm, I train athletes of all ages to move better, train smarter, and compete with confidence. This work is grounded in fundamentals, consistency, and accountability — skills that extend far beyond athletics.
Today, Crystal Clear Coaches brings together culinary leadership, performance coaching, and evidence-based coaching methodologies to support individuals and organizations in meaningful, measurable ways.
We work with school districts, child care centers, organizations, athletes, and families through culinary training, leadership development, operational strategy, Farm to School integration, compliance support, and athletic performance coaching.
Everything I do is rooted in the same belief I learned at five years old: when people are nourished — through food, mentorship, or movement — they thrive.
If you’re ready to strengthen your food program, develop your team, or invest in clarity and performance, I’d love to work with you.
